She has the courage to protect herself and the ability to alter Devlin's plans—and his life. The two are drawn together, each with reason to fear the other and to fear for one another. But as they grow closer, a larger threat imperils the whole of Faerie. Will saving the faery realm mean losing each other?Alluring romance, heart-stopping danger, and sinister intrigue combine in the penultimate volume of Melissa Marr's New York Timesbestselling Wicked Lovely series.

My Thoughts:Like all the other Melissa Marr books, Radiant Shadows did not disappoint. Radiant Shadows revolves around Ani and Devlin. I was a little worried I would not get into this book because I thought it wouldn't have many of the other characters, but it did. I loved the characters. Ani was such a strong person, always longing to be part of the Hunt but never being able to because her father Gabrielle never sees her as one of the Hounds but just as a fragile little pup. Devlin is the High Court Queen's bloodied hands. Being High Court means he can't indulge can't have the emotions others can have because that would be out of order. The only times he is able to induldge and feel free is when Rae posses his body. When Ani is put in danger, she escapes with Devlin.
Throughout the journey Devlin starts to see his true self. The self that has to choose between his loyalty his queen, Sorcha, or be with the first person he has every had these feelings for. At first I didn't know how I was going to respond to Ani, but it didn't take long for me to like her. She is such a strong character and I'm sure many people can relate to her. Always looking and waiting for the acceptance and approval to be what be. One things that I love about this book is the whole aspect of family between the courts. To the Dark Court, though many cower from it, family is very important to it. Ani, Irial, Rabbit, Tish, Rabbit, Gabriel, Niall, and Seth, too, they are all so close, they're family and when something devastating happens the emotion is there. It's there in all of them, and it was overwhelming to me how much each of them felt when that wasn't very common among them.Hounds.Fey.Halflings. I don't think I can explain it well, and I am probably confusing you guys, lets just say it was good.
This book has a great story plot, along with great characters, and a fantastic writing style. One of the things that I loved about this book is the writing. I most of this book out loud because I loved how it sounded and how even if I was just reading it from the book, the emotion was there. It wasn't hard to know how each of these characters felt. The wanting, the longing, the worry, the love, the everything. I recommend reading some of this book out loud even though it might be weird for you. I cannot wait to read the next and, I believe, finale book in the series. I love Melissa Marr's writing and can't wait to see what's to come in the future from her. She has an incredible writing ability and makes it easy to love/hate her characters. This book isn't my favorite in the series but it was still really really good. I thought I would miss Keenan and Ash but this story had great characters and enough emotion and wanting and other things great things going on that I didn't need that little bit of Keenan and Ash and Seth, even though I did appreciate Seth being a part of this story :) ( I LOVE Seth :) ). I give Radiant Shadows 5 Stars. I had given it a 4.5 but then I thought aboout it and dude I really like this book. I kept thinking about something in particular and now I HAVE to read the last one to find out the truth. Goodness. Just as fantastic as the others :)

5 Stars
